General description

Whitish test with darker (black and greenish) grains. Apertural end is broadly rounded and often more or less truncated.

General description

Elongate organic test withtransparent reflective wall. The cell body is white and transparent with fine granules and numerous mineral particles, which are concentrated at the apertural end. A great majority of the mineral particles consist of magnetite and titanoferous magnetite.

General description

Test wall is brownish, more or less translucent and composed of fine grained material. Intracellular mineral grains are whitish to dark. Droplet-like shape with a bluntly pointed apertural end.

Transparent test with reflective highlights. Outline varies from globular to elongate. The apertural end is drawn out into a delicate but clearly developed, broad tubular extension with a flared termination.
