General description

Test involute, envenly rounded to lobulate; periphery broadly rounded to sub-acute, no keel; papillae ornament sutural pits umbilicus and base of aperture face; umbilicus depressed or filled with one or more bosses.

Test with evenly rounded outline, becoming lobulate in later part; periphery broadly rounded to sub-acute; septal bridges long, evenly spaced, numerous.

General description

Like H. germanica, this species lacks sutural bridges. Test periphery is rounded. The considerable development of granular material on the first chamber of the final whorl is typical of this species.
